Map navigation using mouse and keyboard:
- Drag to pan
- SHIFT + Click to recenter
- SHIFT + Drag to zoom in
- SHIFT + CTRL + Drag to zoom out
- Mouse Scroll Forward to zoom in
- Mouse Scroll Backward to zoom out
- Use Arrow keys to pan
- + key to zoom in a level
- - key to zoom out a level
- Double Click to Zoom in
- Click the sign to zoom in
- Click the to zoom out
- Click the button to return to the original extent.
- Click the button to change the background basemap.
- Click the button to bring up the help window.
- Click the button to switch the view between map or tabular list of communities
- Click the representing a community to bring up the report message box. Click the Report Document button to bring up a detailed community report.
- Use the filter tool to select a subset of communities to review.
- The filter tool will limit all other functions in the CAT to apply only to the communities that meet the filter criteria.
- Population >= and <= sets the population threshold. Only communities above 500 total population are included in the too.
- State – limits the communities to selected states or All.
- Use the Weights tool to reprioritize (score) communities based on characteristics that are important to your objectives
- On the profiles tab are several options for pre-arranged weight settings.
- The Reset All button will set all weights back to zero.
- The Profile Tool lets you select a predefined community profile. Selecting a profile overrides all weighting and criteria adjustments previously made.
- Contact TPL GIS staff if you would like to have a profile programmed into the tool
- The Compare Tool allows you to compare the characteristics of two communities
